Lisburn event to help churches develop leaders (16 September 2014)

A new CPAS training day entitled 'Growing leaders in the local church' is taking place at Christ Church Lisburn on Saturday 18 October. Bishop Ken 'Fanta' Clarke will be speaking, along with CPAS general director John Dunnett and Kate Marshall, a facilitator and coach who runs her own business helping organisations grow and succeed through developing their people. Christ Church Lisburn hosts mentoring event (November 2013)

The first Saturday day conference organised by the new CPAS Ireland Steering group took place on the 19 October in Christ Church Parish Halls, Lisburn and was attended by 38 people representing a number of organisations and churches. The day began with the welcome by the Rector, Rev Paul Dundas who chairs the CPAS Ireland Steering Group. Read more ...

New resource launched to reverse decline in churches during vacancies (8 October 2013)

A new resource to help churches grow and thrive during periods of vacancy has been produced by CPAS, the Anglican mission agency, in partnership with four other organisations. With two thirds of churches reporting a drop in attendance during the time between vicars, and most vicars staying in post for less than ten years, the mission agency sees addressing this issue as pivotal to growth in the Church of England.
