Growing Leaders course

Growing Leaders introduction

An introduction to the Growing Leaders course, with views from leaders and participants.

'We need a church where people are helped to take up leadership roles, and equipped to carry them out with confidence and skill ... We need a church where we grow leaders of every age - children, young people and adults.'

Growing Leaders - reflections on leadership, life and Jesus by James Lawrence

Leadership is a proven factor in growing, healthy churches. Yet so many churches struggle to find leaders. People are busy. Time is limited.

Where can churches find help? The Growing Leaders course.

'No learning experience has been more effective in making room for God to stir the hearts of leaders in our church! Growing Leaders helped us develop a shared biblical vocabulary and framework for the challenge and adventure of leadership, it kept us focused on God's agenda for our leaders rather than our own, and it has fostered meaningful relationships among participants, mentors, and course facilitators.'
(Trevor Seath, Bridletowne Park Church)

Building on the success of the Growing Leaders book, the Growing Leaders course pack provides everything you need to run a course.

Published in 2006, revised in 2008, we've now trained over 1,000 leaders on more than 30 of our training days. These days give valuable insights into growing leaders as well as training delegates to run the course in their own churches.
