Running the course

Running Growing Leaders is a significant commitment. Thankfully, everything you need to run the course is in the pack.

We run 'training the trainers' days all over the UK to equip people to lead the course. So take a look at the content of the course below, and then sign up for a training day.

The focus

Growing Leaders is focused around three outcomes:

  • Outcome 1: To be led more by Jesus, knowing him and understanding his will.

Christian leadership is rooted in relationship with Jesus. To be a good leader you first need to be a good follower. That's why the first outcome speaks of 'knowing him'. Yet it is so easy to lose our relationship with Christ in the busy-ness of ministry.

  • Outcome 2: To lead more like Jesus, enabling his people to be a reconciling community.

There are some key skills to develop as leaders and Jesus is the ultimate leadership model. Growing Leaders focuses on working in teams, developing others and discerning vision.

  • Outcome 3: To lead more to Jesus, serving his redemptive purposes in our generation.

The focus of all Christian leadership is not on the leader, but on servant leadership that enables God's people to fulfil kingdom purposes in God's world.
