Growing Women Leaders

Women's place in leadership is a hot topic around the world. How do we answer the theological questions which are posed about women as leaders in the Church?

This book surveys the latest scholarship on key Scripture passages relating to women leaders, and the long history of women in church leadership. It aims to inspire and nurture women already in leadership and to encourage those exploring a call to this ministry.

It offers practical advice for women on how to grow as a leader, and is also essential reading for men - those who work alongside women church leaders and those involved in the selection and training of women for ministry.

Growing Women Leaders, by Rosie Ward, is ideal for all who care about the future of leadership in the Church.

'An impressive summary of biblical and historical information and an insightful analysis of the issues surrounding women and leadership. Every church leader - and aspiring leader - should read this book.' Christina Rees, Archbishops' Council

You can buy the book for £8.99 in the CPAS shop.

Women in Mind

Women in Mind, two free downloadable three-session courses for small groups. Both mini-courses are based on the book, and designed to generate discussion, debate and action, but each has a different focus:

  • One set is for groups of women leaders or emerging leaders, with an emphasis on women developing as leaders.
  • One set is for groups of men and women, with the emphasis on exploring the issues together and taking action in one's church or group context.
