The way ahead
John Dunnett, CPAS general director, shares some new initiatives with you and explains some changes at CPAS as we look ahead to the future.
Paul Gambling is one of the 3,500-plus leaders who have attended Making Mission Possible events. Here he explains how the input of CPAS is helping with his leadership of two evangelical churches in Chelmsford Diocese.
...are the three words Venture leader Dave Barnsley uses to describe his feelings about leading the Colwyn Bay 4 Venture next month.
‘Leading a Venture is both a big responsibility, and a real privilege,’ he said. ‘Each year is different and you never quite know what’s going to happen. At the moment our leadership team is busy training and planning activities, as well as recruiting more young people to take part.
‘It’s always very exciting to do the work God’s called us to - we are really looking forward to the opportunity to teach the Bible and proclaim Christ to the teenagers on our Venture.’
We believe that, through developing more Christ-like leaders, the Church can start to fulfil more of its potential to make a difference through mission.
CPAS will be at all of the New Wine weeks later this month. Come and visit us in the Marketplace to find out how you can spot the leadership potential in your church, and develop it to enable effective outreach.
