Welcome ...

There's a lot to look forward to in 2012. We'll celebrate 50 years of You and Ministry weekends, help local churches nurture disciples and develop leaders through Mentoring Matters and our other training events and resources, as well as plan another amazing summer of Ventures and Falcon Camps!

If you'd like to hear more about our ministry, the CPAS Prayer Diary and Catalyst magazine are available free of charge, as well as regular updates from Ventures and Falcon Camps. To subscribe, or read the current edition online, please see the 'Downloads' section at the bottom of this email. Thank you for your support.

Happy New Year from CPAS

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38, TNIV)

'He is the the promise-keeping, history-making, never-changing, ever-loving God. 2012 is, as yet, a year of the unknown. We don't yet know what God has in store.

'But there are no better words for us to pray than to join with Mary in submission and trust: "may it be to me according to your word".'

Shining like stars

A big thank you to everyone who has donated to our Christmas appeal so far! Because of your generosity, we can help more men, women and young people to ‘shine like stars’ for Jesus in their communities.

Christmas is over, but it's not too late to give. As a charity reliant on the donations of individuals and churches, we really need your support, so that even more people can discover the good news of Jesus.

Please give today at www.cpas.org.uk/shine.

'Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.' (Philippians 2:15-16, TNIV)

Life-changing holidays in 2012

Around 80 young people have just returned from our two New Year Ventures in North Yorkshire and Surrey.

Later this year, over 4,000 more children and teenagers will enjoy life-changing Venture holidays. All 90 Ventures are run by fantastic volunteer leaders, who create a safe environment where young people can make friends, have new experiences and discover more about Jesus.

Get a flavour of what Ventures is all about by watching our video. You can also search the holidays by location or age range and make reservations online, and order a brochure and DVD.

50 years of You and Ministry!

Since 1962, You and Ministry weekends have helped thousands of people consider a calling to licensed ministry, many of whom are now leading churches and other ministries across the UK and beyond.

To mark the occasion, we're looking for people who have been on You and Ministry weekends to tell us about their experiences, and where they are now.

If you have been on a You and Ministry weekend over the last five decades, we'd love to hear from you.

Please contact supporter.relations@cpas.org.uk, call 01926 458430 or get in touch through Facebook or Twitter.
