Today marks the start of the Ventures and Falcon Camps peak season. Eight of this summer's 90+ holidays start today, which means hundreds of excited young people are on their way to a fantastic faith-building week away.
Many Ventures and Falcon Camps have an Olympic theme this year, including Woolhampton 2, who are holding their own 'Woolympics'. Overall leader Matt Williams said: 'We want to encourage the 11-14s to fix their eyes not on winning glory for themselves (whether it's winning gold in the 100 metres, coming first on X Factor or landing the dream job) but on our great and awesome God.'
Matt's story is featured in the CPAS Prayer Diary, which includes five weeks of prayers for Ventures and Falcon Camps, which you can subscribe to or read online.

Build your church
Church leaders often juggle a range of different priorities as they try to build their churches and reach more men, women and young people with the good news of Jesus.
Some of the ways in which leaders can put a focus on growth include: discipling young people, developing leaders, proclaiming the gospel, leading with others and releasing God's vision.
During the next few months (and beginning at New Wine in Shepton Mallet over the next fortnight) our 'build your church' campaign will give you the chance to have your say about the top priorities for effective church growth.
In the May e-bulletin we told you about an exciting new initiative CPAS is running in partnership with Lead Academy. The dates for the two learning communties are now confirmed and up on our website.
We've also produced a short video featuring CPAS associate Nick Cuthbert, explaining a bit more about the philosophy behind learning communities, and how they work in practice.
If you're involved in leading a multi-church benefice, or a church whose congregation size has become static around 150-200, we'd love you to consider taking part.

New Leading Edge - Moving On
Are you or do you know a church leader considering a move? With most clergy staying in one post for less 10 years, job changes are inevitable, necessary and exciting, but can also be confusing and difficult.
Following our popular Leading Edge format, CPAS patronage secretary John Fisher is leading a training day this November to address the tricky subject of moving jobs. John will provide some biblical framework to the discernment process and look at the practicalities of making good applications and handling interviews well. Find out more.
