'My Venture' videos

Last summer, we let three young people loose with video cameras to record video diaries of their Ventures experiences.

Marion, Hannah and Ben star in three short videos, available to watch on YouTube now. See their personal perspectives on all that Ventures has to offer, including games, activities, mealtimes, meetings and discussions.

Arrow Take Two

The first year of the CPAS Arrow Leadership Programme has made a significant impact on Henry Curran, vicar at a growing church in Nottingham.

‘My church is based close to the university so a few years ago we started a student ministry, and people flocked here. In some ways, we actually grew too quickly.

'I had not been trained or equipped to manage that growth, and I soon discovered that being a leader in that type of situation was a real gap in my training and experience.'

Taking the brakes off

CPAS is taking a lead role in convening the 2013 National Larger Anglican Churches Consultation (NLACC), to help equip leaders by addressing the specific challenges of growing larger churches.

Aimed at the leaders of churches with a usual Sunday attendance of 350 or more, the theme for this year’s event is ‘Taking the brakes off’. If you are eligible to attend, please visit www.cpas.org.uk/nlacc for information and booking details.

Thumbs up for Lead On

In June 2012 we launched Lead On, a free monthly email to resource Christian leaders.

Eight months in, over 2,300 Christian leaders are receiving this free email each month containing leadership views, in-depth articles, resource recommendations and inspirational quotes. Here's what they're saying ...

  • 'Fabulous resource, and timely!'
  • 'I get a lot of emails, but this one is full of very useful practical help! Thanks.'
  • 'Inspiring and helpful - I have passed on the details to others in ministry.'
  • 'This monthly email is a God-send.'

To sign up to Lead On or find out more, please visit www.cpas.org.uk/leadon.

Thank you for your support

Your interest in CPAS and prayers for our work are hugely appreciated. If you are considering donating to CPAS in 2013, we would really value your financial support as we enable local churches to help more people discover Jesus.

Your support will help us equip local churches for growth in 2013 and beyond. New projects include an initiative for those leading in multi-church benefices, and resourcing churches to thrive while the incumbent’s role is vacant.
