Making Mission Possible

CPAS enables churches to help every person hear and discover the good news of Jesus

Leadership school (3) Ware

The nurture and growth of leadership in the churches we serve is perhaps the greatest gift we can offer to those for whom we have a responsibility. Over the course of these three days CPAS is offering a 'mini leadership school' during which we will explore a number of issues that will help you 'step up' in the leadership you bring and nurture in others.

The three days will have a dual focus of both the internal and external landscapes of leadership (i.e. how to sustain oneself in leadership and enhance/develop leadership skills), and will include both teaching and interactive work. Each of the three days is designed to stand alone but together they will coalesce to offer the chance to engage in a short course/'school' of leadership.

On 8 June:

Peter warns us that the evil one is looking for individuals to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Leaders are not exempt from this threat - indeed they sometimes find themselves flung headlong into his traps. As part of this day we will consider the struggles that leaders face and the steps we can take to build safeguards into our ministries.

The remainder of the day will be given to exploring the challenges of change in a local church and how people and processes can be enabled to move forwards.

It is suitable for clergy and significant lay leaders (e.g. staff, wardens, licensed and ministry team leaders). Led by John Dunnett from 10am-3.30pm (refreshments from 9.45am, please bring your own lunch).

The fee for attending this event is £28 each for the first person, £15 for each additional person from the same church.
