Welcome to Initi8
Initi8 is the CPAS ministry for leaders of under eights.
We used to have Explorers (8-11s), Climbers (5-7s) and Scramblers (3-5s) but, with the advent of the ‘tweenager’, we’ve taken the decision to restructure a bit.
Many churches are finding the traditional 7-11s groups are no longer working – mainly because nine-year-olds aren’t what they used to be! So, we decided to shift the Pathfinders age range from 11-14s to 9-13s and to create Initi8, to cover all ministry with the under eights.
Don’t panic! This doesn’t mean you need to change all your groups, unless you think this would make your church’s ministry more effective. However, we hope our change recognizes changes in children’s culture and will better equip churches in this key area of work.
We’ve appointed a dedicated youth ministry specialist to work with tweenagers and I have been appointed to lead Initi8. Our role is to support you and your church in delivering effective ministry to children and young people - making disciples of Jesus Christ, whether they’re five, eight, eleven or thirteen.
