making disciples, developing leaders, growing churches

CPAS enables churches to help every person hear and discover the good news of Jesus

Introduction

Making Mission Possible is a new programme of events taking place throughout the 43 English dioceses, to equip lay and ordained leaders for mission.

Making Mission Possible

Working in partnership with churches, deaneries and dioceses, CPAS is Making Mission Possible through leadership development events across the country.

Send us an email to receive updates about the programme of Making Mission Possible events.

What are Making Mission Possible events about?

Making Mission Possible events cover a variety of different themes, including:

  • Enabling action - turning vision into mission and ministry.
  • Leadership and mission in a multi-church benefice.
  • Developing lay leadership (using the Growing Leaders resource).
  • Biblical models of leadership to inform parish leadership teams.
  • Self-leadership (for ordained and lay leaders alike).
  • Building and maintaining teams in local churches.
  • Jesus-shaped leadership.
  • Sustaining oneself in leadership - staying strong in energy, conviction and vision.

There will also be specific events for those involved in youth and children's ministry, including:

  • Growing and discipling young people.
  • Developing a strategy for youth or children's ministry.
  • Running residential ministry (weekends away, etc.).

If you would like to partner with CPAS for an event on this theme which will equip leaders for mission in your area, please contact James Lawrence on jlawrence@cpas.org.uk or 0300 123 0780 (ext. 4389).
