About Pathfinders and this website
Pathfinders is a national youth organisation that works to support local church leaders in their ministry with young people in the 9-13 age range.
Through this website we aim to support leaders of local church youth ministry in their work of putting into effect Jesus’ great commission to “go and make disciples”. The task is huge and the responsibility great to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to a generation of young people, many of whom know nothing or very little of God’s truth, love and plan for their lives.
You will want to grow strong, mature young disciples of Jesus Christ and this web site will support you in this with resources, advice and help with programmes.
What does a mature, young disciple of Jesus look like? They will be a young person who is growing in their faith and relationship with Jesus in all areas of their lives. This web site will support youth ministry leaders in the local church as they build Worshipping Communities with their young people; Equip those communities for ministry with and by young people and will enable outreach by your young people.
Advice, guidance and resources are broadly grouped into these three major areas of youth ministry along with two extra areas providing practical leadership resources on how to run effective youth ministry and advice on how to help your young disciples on their way when they grow too old for your group.
