making disciples, developing leaders, growing churches

CPAS enables churches to help every person hear and discover the good news of Jesus

Sarah Wood

Sarah Wood, rector at the CPAS patronage parish of Heanton Puncharden with Marwood in Devon, has seen the CPAS Growing Leaders course act as a catalyst for many exciting projects.

Sarah said: 'Following our most recent Growing Leaders course, participants have begun work on a variety of initiatives in the local community.

'One ran a Messy Church day, where people of all ages came to church and made Christmas decorations, sweets and a life-size nativity scene, as well as painting feet and hands!

'Another person felt led to begin outreach in the area and is now involved in setting up and leading a series called 'life and beyond' in a local pub, while yet another has gone on to be involved with starting a midweek church event for teenagers playing music together.

'The way God has worked in people's lives through Growing Leaders is so amazing and it's really exciting to see it all happening!'
