Helen Janes

Helen Janes decided to write Me and My House when she took part in a Growing Leaders course, and felt convinced God was leading her to write about her experiences as a Christian woman married to a non-beleving husband as an encouragement to others.

'Many years ago, the idea of writing a book began as a tiny seed in my mind. That small beginning remained dormant until 2010 when I took part in a Growing Leaders course. I became more and more convinced that God was leading me to share my story with others.

'I became a Christian early in my marriage, and have 30 year's first hand experience of marriage to Steve, raising three children and learning how to trust God in all kinds of everyday situations. This has given me a passion for encouraging believing women married to a non-believing partner that they can choose to see their relationship as something very special.

'I wrote Me and My House - won over without words to share the real and living story of a Christian wife and a non-Christian husband. A story of waiting, yes, but very much a story of choosing to live looking forward, seeing the bigger picture, trusting Christ in the everyday things and waiting for him.'

The Growing Leaders course is run by over 500 churches across the UK. It focuses on developing leaders across the life of the church.
