God's kingship at Kepplewray

Around 80 excited 8-11 year olds spent their half term holiday in the north-west of England on the K'Wray (Kepplewray) and Quinta half term Ventures. Overall leader of K'Wray, Mark Tomlinson said:

'We had a great week, despite some dodgy weather! The teaching programme was based around the theme of God's kingship. We looked at God as the creator right though to Jesus as the perfect king. It was wonderful to see children accepting God as their king.' Read more ...

John speaks at national leadership conference

'A world without faith would be on a path to tragedy and disaster' Tony Blair, speaking at the HTB Leadership Conference

Starting well

May saw the first of this year's The Buck Stops Here conferences, with around 20 new vicars gathering in Cheltenham to be equipped and inspired in their first post of overall responsiblity.

Several participants commented on how beneficial it was to meet with others at a similar stage of ministry. One new incumbent said: 'This conference raised some startlingly helpful and insightful questions to ask of self and church. The impact of being asked to consider things like "what's our core business" will, I think, be very profound.'

The next The Buck Stops Here event will be in Sheffield in October.

CPAS at New Wine

CPAS leadership principal James Lawrence will be leading sessions on various aspects of leadership at all three New Wine weeks, and you'll find the CPAS stand in the marketplace at Shepton Mallet. We look forward to seeing you there!
