Lay Minister, St Richard’s Crowborough

Crowborough | Chichester | Closing date: 15 October

All Saints is a large conservative evangelical Anglican church which works in partnership with St Richard’s Church. This is an exciting time to be joining the staff team of 14 as we seek to reach out with the gospel of Jesus and see each other built up in faith.

We are praying for a lay minister to take primary responsibility for St Richard's Church, with a clear evangelical faith and a passion to teach the Bible to all ages who:

  • Loves Jesus and is passionate about others coming to know him and grow as disciples.
  • Is a ‘people person’ who can build relationships with local community groups.
  • Has the energy and capacity to build on the good foundations laid at St Richard’s, and give clear leadership there, within the context of a wider team at All Saints.

The successful candidate will have theological training and previous leadership experience and, if non-Anglican, be willing to be received into the Church of England. The successful candidate will be licensed by the Bishop of Chichester. The post could be full or part time.

Crowborough is in the heart of the Ashdown Forest and is a fabulous place to live with easy access to the coast and regular trains into London. We have excellent local schools including our own church school. The house is a spacious four-bedroomed home which will be let at an affordable rate with a salary of £30,000 pro rata plus a 6% pension contribution.
