Making Mission Possible

CPAS enables churches to help every person hear and discover the good news of Jesus

Jennifer Riddlestone

Jennifer Riddlestone went on a CPAS You and Ministry weekend in 2009. Just over two years later, she was recommended for ordination training, and she is now discerning her next steps.

Jennifer Riddlestone'Going into ministry was something I'd been considering for many years. I had volunteered as a youth leader and sensed that God might be calling me into ministry, but then had to stop when I developed a chronic illness. This was a very frustrating time in my life, but a time when God really spoke to me, and I was able to reflect on what following his call might look like.

'At You and Ministry I found it very helpful to have dedicated time to think through the issues and talk to others at different stages in the discernment process. It was good to have my questions answered, and have space to talk and pray with my husband.

'After the weekend, I felt convinced that God was telling me I needed to keep moving forward and following the path he had for me. I felt him say to me 'one step at a time'. After further discussions I have been recommended for ordination training, so I'm now preparing to begin training for the ministry God has in store for me.'
