Please note: Due to the current situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the non-recoverable losses incurred by the cancellation of residentials, we are inviting Venture and Falcon supporters to give via our Stewardship campaign. Alternatively, you can make a donation through our own website to all the work of CPAS, including Ventures and Falcons.
Thanks to your support, we can make sure no-one is excluded from attending Ventures because of their financial circumstances.
Each year, around 500 children and teenagers are awarded a bursary to enable them to attend a life-changing Venture holiday. Here's what happened next:
'During the ten days at camp, not only did I make friends with some of the nicest people I have ever met, but I got the chance to visit the leisure centre, bunny farm, watch football, go rock climbing, mountain walking, shopping in the local village (the ice cream was amazing), and swimming! In a word, the experience was fantastic. Hopefully I'll be able to go again sometime!'
'I wanted to express our deep appreciation for granting a bursary for two of our church girls who are attending a Venture in a few weeks' time. They both come from single parent families who are on benefits. Without this bursary the parents would not have been able to send their children on this camp. We are therefore really grateful and continue to pray that God would speak to these children and bring them into a saving knowledge of Jesus.'
It's wonderful to hear something of the impact of Ventures bursaries, and we'd love you to help us enable as many young people as possible to benefit from financial help. The average bursary awarded is about £70, but anything you can give is very much appreciated and will help a child or teenager to enjoy a life-changing Christian holiday.
Thank you for helping us make a difference in many more young lives this summer. To find out more about Venture holidays, please visit www.ventures.org.uk.
'I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full' John 10:10
Please note: If donations from this appeal exceed the amount required for Ventures bursary grants, any remaining funds will be used to keep Venture prices as low as possible.
