Holy Trinity Poulton Lancelyn is seeking a godly, biblically grounded and pastorally warm Vicar to lead us into the next chapter of our life together.

We are an evangelical church planted nearly 50 years ago in the Spital area in the Diocese of Chester.  We are united by our love for the Lord Jesus Christ and our confidence in the authority of the Bible. We are a welcoming church family of around 120 people worshipping each Sunday, drawn from a variety of ages and backgrounds. Having made a request to the bishop for arrangements to be made in accordance with the House of Bishops’ Declaration on the ministry of bishops and priests, we are looking for a male vicar who will combine biblical conviction with relational warmth, humility and leadership, helping us to grow as disciples and to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our community.

Our vision is “Sharing, Declaring and Living the Good News of Jesus Christ.” We want to build on the strengths of our existing ministry while becoming increasingly outward-looking and engaged with the people around us. We particularly want to develop our outreach to younger people and families, strengthen our children’s and youth ministry, and find fresh ways to welcome our local community into the life of the church.

As Vicar, you will provide spiritual and pastoral leadership for the congregation, lead and encourage staff and volunteers, oversee our teaching programme, preach regularly, lead prayer and work with the PCC and wider church family. You will have the support of an experienced team, including an Associate Minister, Reader, church administrator, wardens and many committed lay leaders.

• Can encourage growth in discipleship and church life, particularly among children, young people and families.

• Will foster unity and healthy relationships within a congregation holding diverse views on some secondary matters.

• Will champion a strong culture of safeguarding.

Holy Trinity is situated on the Wirral, with excellent transport links to Liverpool, Chester and North Wales, alongside beautiful countryside and coastline.
