Blended Coaching

 Navigating complexity

CPAS blended coaching helps Christian leaders navigate complexity with clarity, courage and Christian hope, combining structured coaching, experienced church-leadership insight and theological reflection to support faithful action.

Navigating complexity supports Christian leaders facing pressure, uncertainty, transition or significant responsibility. It combines structured coaching with mentoring insight from experienced church leaders and theological reflection rooted in real ministry contexts. Leaders bring live situations, clarify what is happening, discern faithful next steps and move towards wiser action, stronger judgement and longer-term fruitfulness.

Blended coaching combines the best elements of coaching and mentoring.

From coaching, it brings an external perspective, focused on asking strong questions, improving performance, and holding individuals accountable for delivering outcomes, without needing deep knowledge of their specific context.

From mentoring, it draws on experience and practical insight from those who have been in similar situations, learned from mistakes, and can share guidance.

In short, mentoring provides experience, coaching guides thinking and action, and blended coaching intentionally uses both to support effective development and delivery.

Blended coaching that equips Christian leaders to navigate complexity with clarity, courage and hope.

Three streams:

One to One

Blended Coaching

For individual leaders seeking focused, confidential support through 60 or 80‑minute one‑to‑one blended coaching sessions, addressing live leadership challenges such as discernment, sustained pressure, complex conflict, workload overload, or high‑stakes strategic decision‑making. Sessions integrate reflective space with practical leadership tools, enabling leaders to slow down, think clearly, and act with confidence in demanding contexts.

It begins with an initial consultation and introductory session, followed by four-six further sessions and review.

For individual Christian leaders seeking focused support around live leadership challenges, discernment, pressure, conflict, overload or strategic decision-making.

This stream is particularly suited to leaders who need confidential, focused space to think clearly, reflect theologically, test assumptions and decide wisely in their own ministry context.

The coaching helps leaders move from operational presenting issues, through tactical action, towards clearer strategic decision-making.

Indicative fee:

  • 60-minute session: £81 + VAT

  • 80-minute session: £97 + VAT

Subsidised provision may be available for CPAS-supported clergy and parishes.

Together

Blended Coaching

Guided peer group coaching for Christian leaders who would benefit from structured reflection, shared learning and theological sense-making with others in similar leadership realities.

It involves six structured sessions around core leadership and faith themes. Each session includes guided movements that help participants bring real leadership situations, reflect with others, internalise the principles and identify faithful next steps.

This is a facilitated process that helps leaders grow through peer wisdom, careful questioning, mutual accountability and shared reflection.

This is for Christian leaders within a church context who are actively leading people, ministries, or organisations and want structured space to reflect on their leadership through the lens of faith. It is well suited to clergy, lay and ministry leaders, pioneers, and those in senior or middle leadership roles facing complex or demanding realities.

The process is ideal for leaders who value learning with peers, want to integrate theology with real leadership challenges, and are open to reflection, careful questioning, and mutual accountability. It particularly serves those who may feel isolated in leadership and are seeking wise, prayerful discernment of faithful next steps rather than quick solutions.

Fees apply to the whole group rather than per person:

  • Online, six sessions: £720

  • Hybrid, six sessions: £2,800 inc VAT and travel

  • Onsite, six sessions: £5,000 inc VAT and travel

  • Two groups on the same day and location: additional £300 for the second hybrid or onsite group
