Priest in Charge

Ardsley and Darfield with Great Houghton

Diocese of Sheffield

Priest in Charge for Ardsley and Darfield with Great Houghton parishes and Oversight Minister in the Wath 2 Mission Area and Area Dean for the Wath Deanery.

Warm Space, Tots, Café Church, Messy Church, Men’s Breakfast, Teddy Bear Parachute jump, Open the Book in schools: just a few of the ways we are already building connections with our communities - if you thrive on relationships and prioritise spreading the love of Jesus into the community then read on!

We are looking for a minister with strong communication skills, who can connect with all ages and backgrounds, someone committed to being a visible presence in our communities, who has a heart for pastoral care and reaching out in mission.

We are two neighbouring parishes in the Barnsley Borough within South Yorkshire, who each have our own unique villages but are increasingly working together on joint ventures.

We are praying for a dedicated and inspiring person to lead our churches and help us to grow as we enter a new chapter in our journey of faith. We are seeking a minister grounded in biblical teachings, who is also passionate about fostering spiritual growth and enabling new leaders within our congregations.

We pray that as you read more about each parish in our Profiles you will sense God's clear calling if this is an opportunity He is leading you to explore.
