The quality of line management not only has a direct impact on the enjoyment and effectiveness of a person's work, but also on their well being and enjoyment of life. Quite a responsibility. Yet many of us find ourselves line managing others with little experience or training.

This session offers practical insights on how to line manage or supervise well, including:

  • Clarifying what line managers are responsible for and how line managing in a church context differs.
  • Identifying the differences between line managing staff, supervising curates and overseeing volunteers.
  • Exploring five things good line managers do.
