Lead on Live: Leading in a Distracted Age

With Bishop Graham Tomlin

We live in a culture that is constantly competing for our attention. Noise and notifications, pressure, activity and the sheer pace of life can leave us distracted and fragmented. Those in church leadership aren’t immune to this. We inhabit the same culture as the people we are seeking to serve and reach, and it can become difficult to remain attentive to God, to ourselves and to the people in front of us.

So how is this culture of distraction shaping both the way we lead and the way people hear and respond to the gospel? And what might faithful, attentive leadership look like in an age like this?

In this webinar, we’re delighted to be joined by Bishop Graham Tomlin to explore what it means to lead faithfully in a distracted age and help us answer questions like:

  • What is going on in our culture at present?

  • What can we learn from past Christians about our age?

  • What spiritual disciplines do we need to thrive in this cultural time?

  • How can we cultivate habits of attentiveness to God?

Drawing on theology, culture and practical wisdom, we’ll consider how leaders can recover attention, help churches resist the pressures of distraction, and create space for deeper discipleship, mission and encounter with God.

A free webinar aimed at anyone involved in church leadership, lay or ordained. Don’t miss out.
