Love and Serve God, Love and Serve Each Other & Love and Serve the Young People.

Ripon has been running on site at Ripon Grammar School since 2002, we have a strong relationship with the school and the community of Ripon City and God has grown us in many ways through many changes – though we do have some long-standing leaders who have been with us for years! Many of our leaders first came as young people and we are proud and thankful to God for the community built each year, both on site and beyond.  

We couldn’t begin to think how many Young People we have engaged with through Ripon over the years but what we do know is that it has been an absolute honour and privilege to stand with them as they explore faith and identity through several different activities.  

We love being physical, and engage explore lots of different sports and outdoor activities – traditional and otherwise – and often visit Ripon City Centre for different activities too. We also like to ask the Young People what they would like to do and respond to them annually and through the week as well – having workshop slots for them to choose (or even lead themselves) activities and ensure there are different environments for all needs.   

We believe it is important to offer young people different ways to engage with God and have done this in lots of different and creative ways over the years – including Bible studies, seminars, small groups, movement, singing, drawing, writing, reading, talks, testimony sharing, question boxes, discussion panels and lots more – we are consistently wanting to listen to and respond to our Young People as they explore faith– whilst all the time pointing them towards Jesus.  

It would be hard to name particular memories as there are so many – but it really has been an honour to host lots of young people, youth groups, church groups and even some international members – we have had an enriching 25 years so far and God has taken people so far and taught us so much through our volunteer experience.   

So many we continue to Love and Serve God, Love and Serve Each Other & Love and Serve the Young People – because God is Love and Love Never Fails, therefore God Never Fails.
