We exist to help young people meet Jesus, grow in faith and follow him for life.Each summer, we bring this purpose to life through an unforgettable week: a week of friendship, laughter and fun, with faithful Bible teaching and opportunities to encounter Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Our wonderful camp first took place in 1981 in Windermere under the leadership of Greg Hoyland and John Davis. Whilst enjoying moving locations around the North of England, leadership stayed consistent moving only to Tim Gregory and then Sue Powell across the decades. In 2023 the baton of leadership was passed to Becky Wright (having been part of the team since 2008) and Rev Alex Oehring. We look forward to celebrating 50 years of this amazing ministry in 2031!
Rooted in the Bible.
We believe the Bible is God’s Word and the authority for what we believe and how we live. It shapes our teaching, our leadership and our life together.
Expectant of the Spirit.
We are a Word and Spirit Venture. We believe the Holy Spirit who empowered the disciples at Pentecost is at work today. We welcome his presence and gifts, trusting him to deepen faith, equip us for service and make us more like Jesus.
Dependent on prayer.
Prayer underpins everything we do. We pray as we prepare, as we lead and as we care for young people, trusting God to do what we cannot do ourselves.
Committed to safety and care.
Safeguarding is central to our leadership. We work to create a safe, caring environment where every young person is valued, listened to and able to explore faith without pressure.
Full of fun.
We love Jesus and we love having fun together. We take Bible teaching seriously and bring energy, creativity and laughter to camp life: from morning sessions to evening activities.
Building relationships that last.
We want every young person to feel welcomed, known and loved. Through excellent care, genuine friendship and a brilliant camp experience, we hope they will return year after year and keep discovering more of Jesus.
Come and join us for an adventure filled week. There will be wide games, sports, crafts, exciting trips off-site, swimming, ‘hunt the leader’ and lots of opportunities to hang out with your new friends! Intertwined through our jam-packed programme we will ‘Connect’ with God in our morning Bible sessions, see our faith ‘Ignite’ in our evening worship slot and encounter God through our ‘Holy Space’ session.
