Leading from the Second Chair
With so many churches having a second chair leader, it is important to understand the tensions and be able to work around any issues.
Some people will always be second chair leaders – those who serve with others in overall leadership. Others will be passing through to become the incumbent or some other first chair leader. And many in overall leadership will have those who are in the second chair.
This day identifies some of the common issues for those in the second chair, explores how to work with those tensions, and offers a forum to share concerns and struggles.
