Leading in Evangelism Resources

We have created a range of practical guides and papers to resource leading in evangelism. We will add to this page as we develop new materials, so do keep popping back to have a look.

Practical Guides

  • Questions to ask - asking questions is a great way to encourage and equip our people to share their faith. This handout explains why this is a good approach and offers a range of questions people could use, including five related to the pandemic.
  • Top five evangelism training materials - this guide recommends our five top suggestions for evangelism training materials (plus some additional ones as a bonus), with links to a full review of each and to the materials themselves.
  • Different expectations of evangelism - this handout considers the different expectations we might have of new Christians, maturing Christians, group leaders, overall leaders and evangelists when it comes to evangelism.
  • Five Thresholds to Faith - a summary building on the work of Shaupp and Evert's excellent book, Pathways to Jesus, on the five thresholds people often cross on the way to faith, and how we can best connect with them at each threshold.
  • Prayer and Evangelism - a guide to praying about sharing our faith with suggested prayers and ideas on what to pray.
  • Ideas for Model, Order and Mobilise - on this Padlet board we’ve placed loads of resource links and ideas to help us model sharing faith as leaders, order our churches around evangelism, mobilise our congregations to share the faith and identify and release evangelists and pioneers.
