Vicar, Christ Church Worksop, St. Luke’s Shireoaks and Rhodesia

Worksop | Southwell & Nottingham | Closing date: 12 May

Are you an innovative priest who is looking for a new adventure in beautiful North Nottinghamshire?

The benefice of Christ Church Worksop, St. Luke’s Shireoaks and Rhodesia are seeking a new leader who can lead the parishes into the next season of growth. Building on what God is already doing, this person will lead the church forward in responding to new opportunities for mission as the population rises and developments in the area continue.

The churches have great links with their communities and have seen recent growth through outreach to young children and adults as well as increased diversity through welcoming brothers and sisters from overseas.  It has an energised and committed lay and clergy team, excited about the potential of a new chapter and the opportunity to work alongside the new priest in mission, drawing near to God together.

You will be joining a Diocese that is intentional about growing disciples of Jesus Christ with compassion, confidence and courage because we believe that Jesus Christ is our living hope.  The priorities for this post are to grow the existing Sunday congregations, particularly families, and to look for opportunities to plant worshipping communities around the parishes, to reach a more diverse demographic and to provide pathways for new disciples to find faith. A key element are the links we have with our schools and pre-schools.
