St John’s is next door to Danson Park and just a short walk from Welling High Street, and has been part of the local community since 1926.
It is a warm and welcoming, missionally focused, Spirit-filled church, rooted in the evangelical and charismatic tradition, and with a history of supporting and resourcing neighbouring churches.
Our new Vicar will need to:
- be rooted in God's Word, prayer, and the work of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
- have a heart for mission and evangelism, and a vision for working collaboratively with our Ministry Team and others.
- be a gifted preacher/teacher, with a traditional evangelical view of Scripture.
- able to confidently lead us in a variety of worship styles.

The wider a group’s diversity, the smarter, wiser, and more compassionate and creative its decision making becomes. We are committed to achieving diversity throughout our Diocese by seeking UKME/GMH colleagues and those from a wide range of backgrounds, to help us create a culture of inclusion and belonging.
